move on line no. 122 and 123, to set its height and width parameters:
define( 'HEADER_IMAGE_WIDTH', apply_filters( 'twentyeleven_header_image_width', 1000 ) );
define( 'HEADER_IMAGE_HEIGHT', apply_filters( 'twentyeleven_header_image_height', 260 ) );

Also, comment out these lines in style.css(line 530):

#branding img {
/*height: auto;*/
margin-bottom: -7px;
/*width: 100%;*/
